Online Business English

The Online Business English Course is taught live and is specially designed to improve English communication at workplace. It is suited for college students and working professionals as all exercises have a strong focus towards a workplace environment.

How I started this course

When I first started Spoken English Course in January 2020, it was a basic language course taught for any category of students. But over the next few years, I realized that among the adult students, the greatest need was appropriate English communication skills at workplace. This disadvantage in turn hampered their career growth. Students came to me at different levels, either at the beginning stage or at mid-level in their career like in managerial positions. Therefore, I have modified this course into a full-fledged Business English course in which the content is specifically tailored for a working scenario. I have been teaching the same for a spectrum of students like college students, teachers, engineers, marketing professionals and health professionals who have greatly benefited from it.

Regular classes

The course covers a wide range of topics such as parts of speech, verb tenses, modal verbs, punctuation marks, telephone conversations and official emails. All the classes are taught live by me. They have grammar lessons and speaking exercises. Students need not switch on cameras for the classes. All classes are taken via Zoom and recorded for the students.

English Fridays

On Fridays, there are exclusive English sessions. Here, they will have exposure to higher level of English content such as TED talk and BBC English apart from other exercises. There will be other exercises like picture description and role play exercises.

Telegram groups

I have a Telegram group for enrolled students where I provide supplementary material such as grammar notes and exercises. There are also other useful links for students to augment their English learning. Moreover, there are 20 vocabulary exercises to enhance overall spelling ability. These cover a wide range of general topics. The recorded classes are uploaded onto Telegram to be accessible to students.

Final evaluations

At the end of the course, there is an English test comprising of grammar and vocabulary which is evaluated by me. Students have to send their answer sheets as snapshot in Telegram.

I EVALUATE THE ANSWER SHEETS AND SEND THEM BACK IN TELEGRAM ALONG WITH FINAL MARKS.

Level 2 – Job Readiness Course

I am preparing another course called Job readiness which would comprise of Interview coaching, Job application, Basic General Knowledge quizzes and MS office overview.

Free Business English Webinar

Before enrolling for the course, I offer a free presentation that consists of Spoken English exercises and an English test. Students who are interested to join the course can first attend the webinar and then decide to join.
