Tips For Studying at Foreign Universities

  1. These are general tips and not specific for any particular institute.
  2. Students need to register their laptops with the universities.
  3. The IT staff will give updated softwares for MS office, antivirus etc.
  4. If your course requires any specific laptop configuration, it is your responsibility to procure one before starting the course.
  5. There will be strict deadlines for assignments and penalisation will be there for late submissions.
  6. Online submissions will be subjected to plagiarism checks.
  7. Plagiarism and collusion will be dealt seriously.
  8. Personal tutors may be assigned to students with whom confidential information can be shared depending on the level of trust.
  9. Some courses will have intense course work owing to which part time jobs may not be possible.
  10. As foreign universities admit students from across the world, one would certainly experience a rich diversity of students.
  11. It is not uncommon to befriend students from other countries and share experiences and food.
  12. Students need to have mutual respect for each other.
  13. During project work they will work closely with a senior faculty member who will guide them in their project work such as methodology, data collection, analysis and final thesis.
  14. Students are expected to actively participate in symposiums, journal clubs and conferences if those happen within their academic circles.
